HUTB Chief Leaders Visit Enterprises in Zhejiang to Expand Job Opportunities

2024-11-16

In order to fully implement the Ministry of Education's "Visit Enterprises to Expand Job Opportunities and Promote Employment" initiative, and to gain a deeper understanding of the needs of enterprises and explore potential job openings, HUTB is making every effort to promote the high-quality and full employment of its graduates. Recently, Liao Xiangyue, Deputy Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee and President of HUTB, led a delegation to visit employers and alumni in Zhejiang Province. Yang Liangqi, member of the CPC HUTB Committee and Vice President of HUTB, as well as staff from the Alumni Office and the Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Division, accompanied the visit.

On the morning of November 11, President Liao and his delegation visited the Zhejiang Talent Market. Qian Huili, Director of the Zhejiang Talent Market, warmly welcomed President Liao and his team. She provided an overview of Zhejiang's industrial layout, economic development, talent demand, and talent policies, and expressed gratitude for the talent support provided by HUTB in recent years for the economic and social development of Zhejiang. President Liao introduced the university's development history, achievements, academic program structure, talent cultivation efforts, and the situation of the graduates of 2025. He expressed gratitude to the Zhejiang Talent Market for its long-standing concern and support for HUTB's employment initiatives, and extended an invitation for a recruitment delegation from the Zhejiang Talent Market to visit HUTB to select graduates.

On the afternoon of November 11, President Liao and his delegation visited Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co., Ltd., a "Top 50 Global Security Company," as part of the initiative to visit enterprises and expand job opportunities. At the meeting, the company representatives introduced the company's development history, main business, talent needs, and other relevant information. Our university's 2013 alumnus He Yang and 2020 alumnus Liu Jinkai reported on their personal development within the company. Subsequently, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on industry development, talent demands, and employment quality, and reached a cooperation agreement on professional talent cultivation and regular recruitment of talent.

In recent years, the CPC HUTB Committee has placed great importance on student employment and entrepreneurship, consistently prioritizing these efforts as a key initiative and positioning them as a prominent focus in HUTB's overall work. Since September of this year, HUTB has fully implemented the Ministry of Education's initiative on "University Party Secretaries and Presidents Visiting Enterprises to Expand Job Opportunities and Promote Employment." HUTB's Party Secretary and President have taken the lead, with all secondary schools and relevant departments actively involved. Based on the disciplinary features, major structure, and student composition, HUTB has made proactive adjustments to the employment structure to better align with industrial development and societal needs. It has vigorously explored market-based and socialized employment channels, actively seeking new employment markets in areas such as "Digital + (AI+)," "Green +," and "Culture + Technology." These efforts have yielded significant results, providing a solid foundation for the high-quality and full employment of graduates.
