On the morning of May 31, the "Attractive Future" fashion show and the "Power of Culture and Creativity" creativity market, part of the "Towards 2035: Integrating Creativity for the Future" Technology and Culture Expo and the 2nd Science and Technology Festival series events, were brilliantly presented at the Buduotang Art Museum in the Lingnan Campus.
The fashion show, themed "Attractive Future", symbolized the blossoming of beauty and hope. Professional models wore the creative designs of 2024 graduates of the Fashion and Costume Design program from the Design & Art Institute, presenting the beauty of apparel through a dynamic runway display. The entire show opened with a performance of Hunan Opera, showcasing the splendor of traditional art. It then transitioned to contemporary art favored by young people, combining dance to present a vibrant display of fashion. The finale featured powerful and fashionable music along with modern formal attire, creating a fashion creativity show that blended attitude with charm. The three segments of the show were closely aligned with the theme of "Attractive Future," each complemented by poetic narration, delivering a visual and artistic feast for the audience.
This fashion show was not only a showcase of the four-year achievements of the Fashion and Costume Design students but also an important stage for them to display their talent and creativity to the fashion industry. The event also featured clothing designs by outstanding alumni from the Design & Art Institute, showcasing the close connection between fashion design and market demand. The audience responded with enthusiastic applause and high praise for the innovative presentation and exceptional live performances.
The "Power of Culture and Creativity" creativity market showcased outstanding works from the university's faculty and students, science and art-related enterprises, and entrepreneurial teams. The diverse range of creative products captivated visitors, creating a platform for collaboration and exchange in cultural creativity.
Looking ahead, the Design & Art Institute will ride the wave of the integrated development of culture and technology, increasing support for creative industries and disciplines. It will host a wider array of events and focus on nurturing more talents with innovative spirit and practical skills, contributing to the leapfrog development of HUTB.
