On September 25, the large-scale symphonic choral concert "Joyful Hunan, Singing for the Motherland," celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, was grandly inaugurated at the Hunan Theatre. The event was jointly organized by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Hunan Cultural Center, and the culture, media, tourism and sports bureaus of various cities and prefectures in Hunan Province.

The concert consisted of three chapters: "Red Songs Resound," "Chasing Dreams Forward," and "The Splendid Era." Outstanding choral teams from across the province performed with great passion, using grand scenes, majestic symphonies, and large choruses to celebrate the era, honor the people, and pay tribute to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. More than 150 undergraduate students from the School of Art & Design, HUTB, performed the songs "The Brightest Star in the Night Sky" and "My Motherland and Me." The presence of HUTB students became a unique highlight of the event. Participating faculty and students expressed, "It is a great honor and pride for both the students and faculty of HUTB to be part of such a meaningful event."

The School of Art & Design, as one of the first 11 university teams of the Provincial Culture and Tourism Volunteer Corps under the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, actively participated in the 75th anniversary celebrations of the founding of the People's Republic of China. They embody the call to "pass on the spirit of volunteering from generation to generation" through their actions. (Reported by Yang Yang and Chen Jingjing)
