HUTB Conducts Spring Fire Safety Training and Drills

2025-04-21

On the afternoon of April 15, the university’s Security Division and Student Affairs Division jointly organized a fire safety training and drill for over 200 participants, including key personnel and members of the Student Safety Pioneer Team, held at the South Campus. Through a dual-module approach of "theoretical training + scenario-based practice," the program enhanced campus fire emergency response capabilities, further strengthening the safety net for a secure campus environment.

During the specialized fire safety training session, the fire instructor systematically covered key knowledge areas—including electrical fire prevention, fire equipment usage, and emergency evacuation protocols—by analyzing common campus fire scenarios. Particular emphasis was placed on the scientific procedures for "the golden three minutes of initial fire response." Practical skills such as "Remember the four-step fire extinguisher sequence: Lift, Pull, Grip, Press" and "Smoke hoods must be donned within 30 seconds" sparked lively discussions among trainees.

Following the theoretical training, participants promptly relocated to the drill ground southeast of Cuiya Student Apartments for practical exercises. The fire instructor dynamically demonstrated essential skills—including fire extinguisher operation, rapid hose coupling techniques, and precision nozzle angle adjustment—through a dual "explanation + demonstration" approach. Under instructor supervision, trainees completed hands-on firefighting drills—including "hydrant hose deployment" and "multi-point coordinated suppression"—providing practical benchmarks to dynamically enhance the "golden three-minute" emergency response protocol.
