HUTB Carries Out 2025 "Safety Education Publicity Month" Promotional Campaign
2025-06-28
In June this year, during the 24th National "Work Safety Month," the university closely focused on the theme "Everyone Promotes Safety Awareness, Everyone Can Handle Emergencies - Investigate Hidden Safety Hazards Around You." Through diverse approaches such as theoretical learning, interactive activities, and practical drills, the university coordinated and carried out a series of safety education and publicity campaigns.

The university formulated the Implementation Plan for the Safety Education Publicity Month at HUTB, which outlines key tasks and establishes a robust working framework characterized by "coordinated efforts between higher and lower levels and full participation from all members." This provides a solid foundation for the steady advancement of the activities. To strengthen the ideological foundation of safety, the university, in accordance with the Work Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and other regulatory requirements, organized all secondary units to conduct thematic discussions, centralized lectures, and screenings of the film "Eliminating Hidden Hazards, Safeguarding the Peace of Hunan." These efforts aimed to deeply instill safety theories in the minds of participants and firmly establish the concept of "safety development."
During the activities, the university focused on innovating formats to make safety knowledge truly "come alive." North and South Campuses simultaneously hosted the "Anti-Fraud Carnival," ingeniously integrating anti-fraud knowledge into interactive games such as "Anti-Fraud Matching" and "Anti-Fraud Ring Toss." The university collaborated with the Wangchengpo Subdistrict Office to organize a special lecture on drug prevention and AIDS awareness, providing in-depth explanations on identifying new types of drugs and techniques for resisting drug use. On the occasion of the "International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking," the campaign further expanded its reach through signature walls and case exhibitions, deeply embedding the concept of "a healthy life, free from drugs" in the public consciousness. Focusing on key locations such as dormitories, classrooms, and laboratories, all secondary units carried out a "comprehensive screening of hidden hazards" campaign. Simultaneously, specialized training was conducted in critical areas such as drowning prevention and anti-bullying, along with practical activities like fire emergency drills.
Additionally, the university distributed the Safety Education Essential Knowledge Handbook, displayed thematic banners, and safety tips on electronic screens to make safety knowledge "visible and tangible." It organized activities such as "Snap and Report Hidden Hazards" and "Safety Training Camp" for faculty and students, while also establishing six types of hazard feedback channels, including the Education Sunshine Service website and a 24-hour campus duty phone. These initiatives encourage teachers and students to become "safety whistleblowers," fostering a strong atmosphere where "everyone identifies hazards and safeguards safety."
In the next step, the university will continue to advance the three-year campaign for addressing the root causes of work safety issues and overcoming challenges. It will regularly conduct safety education and publicity activities across various domains, including national security, fire safety, drowning prevention, and preventing illegal fundraising. With a constant sense of responsibility, the university will tighten the campus safety net, creating a safer and more harmonious learning and living environment for all faculty and students.
