Xiangjiang Laboratory and C.H.L Hold Signing Ceremony for Cooperation and Unveiling of Industrial Software Innovation Research Institute

On the morning of July 30, the signing ceremony for cooperation between Xiangjiang Laboratory and Beijing C.H.L Robotics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "C.H.L"), along with the unveiling of the Industrial Software Innovation Research Institute, was held at the Zhiyuan Lecture Hall in Xiangjiang Building. Chen Xiaohong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee, Xia Zhiwu, Chairman of C.H.L, Tan Xiancai, Chairman of the HUTB Alumni Entrepreneur Association and General Manager of Tianzhi International Accounting Firm, Kou Gang and Hu Chunhua, Deputy Directors of Xiangjiang Laboratory, as well as Liu Lang, Deputy General Manager of C.H.L, attended the event. Relevant department heads from both sides also attended the meeting. The ceremony was hosted by Hu Chunhua, Deputy Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory.
Academician Chen Xiaohong delivered a welcome speech at the ceremony, extending a warm welcome to Chairman Xia Zhiwu and his delegation. She pointed out that, in active response to and implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech during his visit to Hunan, Xiangjiang Laboratory, as a crucial component of Hunan Province's "4+4 Innovation Project," targets advanced computing and artificial intelligence. It adheres to the integrated advancement of "computing power, algorithms, data, and networks," and has launched seven original products in cutting-edge areas such as multimodal AI models, industrial operating systems, the Metaverse, and intelligent robots, achieving significant overall progress. She stated that C.H.L adheres to independent innovation and industry-education integration, having significant advantages in industrial software development and intelligent manufacturing. She hopes for practical cooperation between both parties, focusing on critical issues and application needs in industrial software, and collaborating on digital twins, large models, and intelligent manufacturing. The goal is to build a long-term talent development mechanism and achieve comprehensive, mutually beneficial outcomes.
Chairman Xia Zhiwu stated that C.H.L adheres to its corporate mission of "serving the industry and dedicating to education," focusing on innovation in industrial software products. The company has made strategic efforts in areas such as intelligent control and digital twins, smart logistics, and industrial internet, and is committed to industry-education integration as well as university-enterprise collaboration. He hopes that through close cooperation with the Xiangjiang Laboratory, they can target technological transformation and industrial upgrading directions, achieving win-win cooperation in building the industrial software ecosystem and cultivating innovation talents in digital intelligence.
General Manager Tan Xiancai stated that the cooperation between Xiangjiang Laboratory and C.H.L vividly reflects the HUTB Alumni Entrepreneur Association's role in bridging and contributing to the development of both the laboratory and the university. He wishes that both parties can fully leverage their industry advantages to engage in extensive collaboration and achieve fruitful results soon.
Under the joint witness of Academician Chen Xiaohong, Chairman Xia Zhiwu, and General Manager Tan Xiancai, Deputy Director Kou Gang and Deputy General Manager Liu Lang signed the agreement for the collaborative establishment of the innovation research institute on behalf of both parties. Amidst enthusiastic applause, Academician Chen Xiaohong, representing Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Chairman Xia Zhiwu jointly unveiled the plaque for the Industrial Software Innovation Research Institute. The attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on advancing related work.
In her concluding speech, Academician Chen Xiaohong expressed the hope that the signing and unveiling would mark the beginning of long-term, stable, and in-depth collaborative innovation between the two parties. She urged a focus on industrial software, platform development, and talent cultivation, aiming to make progress in key cutting-edge fields and contribute to the development of new quality productive forces and the construction of a modern industrial system.
