From July 12 to 14, the national finals of the 14th National College Students’ E-Commerce “Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship” Challenges (“Sanchuang Competition”) - A Cross-Border E-Commerce Practical Competition were successfully held at the Cangqian Campus of Hangzhou Normal University. HUTB’s two participating teams won the special prize and the first prize in the Cross-Border Live Streaming Track and the Data Analysis Track, respectively. Professors Xiang Guocheng, Luo Shuanglin, and Li Jianjun, along with alumnus General Manager Guo Zhenhua, received the titles of “Best Instructor” and “Excellent Instructor.” These achievements add new honors to HUTB, marking another high-level award in the cross-border e-commerce practical competition.

It is reported that the “Sanchuang Competition” is a national discipline-based competition for college students, organized by the Teaching Steering Committee for E-Commerce Majors under the Ministry of Education since 2009. It is one of the most influential events in the e-commerce field. This year’s “Sanchuang Competition”- A Cross-border E-commerce Practical Competition is divided into three categories: Amazon Track, Cross-Border Live Streaming, and Data Analysis & Marketing. It attracted 5,670 teams from 965 universities across the country, bringing together the innovative talent and endless creativity of top college students nationwide. After over 9 months of competition, including knowledge contests, university-level contests, and provincial contests, 82 teams and 374 students from universities nationwide competed fiercely. In the end, 8 teams were awarded the special prize and 24 teams received the first prize. Apart from the host Hangzhou Normal University, which won 2 special prizes, only 3 universities received both a special prize and a first prize. The university ranked among the top in both the number and quality of awards.
These achievements are due to the CPC HUTB Committee's strong emphasis on talent development, the careful planning by both the Undergraduate School and the Graduate School, and the School of Economy & Trade's CPC Committee's serious commitment to organizing and guiding the work. It has achieved an organic integration of "promoting education through competition, promoting application through competition, and promoting innovation through competition," thus laying a solid foundation for improving the quality of talent development.
