On the afternoon of October 25, the "75 Years of Building Dreams Together, Achieving Great Accomplishments in Unity" Photography and Calligraphy Exhibition, and Zhou Lingzhao Art Exhibition, along with "Porcelain Charm and Craftsmanship" Peng Yuanliang Porcelain Painting Art Exhibition, were grandly launched at the Lingnan Creative Center, HUTB.
He Jishan, CAE Academician and former president of Central South University of Technology expressed in his speech that Mr. Zhou Lingzhao is an outstanding artist, designer, and art educator in China. His exceptional artistic achievements and deep patriotic sentiments are widely admired. Professor Peng Yuanliang's porcelain painting skills are unique and ingeniously crafted, not only showcasing the charm of traditional techniques but also integrating modern innovative elements, injecting new vitality into Chinese porcelain painting art. After ten glorious years, the univerisity continues to strive for excellence. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of HUTB, he wished the university continued growth and ever-increasing success.
Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and CAE Academician, addressed the event. She stated that in the 75 years of remarkable history, HUTB has grown alongside the motherland and kept pace with the times. Rooted in the land of Hunan, the university has written a magnificent chapter of strengthening the university and advancing education. The three themed art exhibitions are a heartfelt tribute to our great motherland and the great era. They also serve as a brilliant showcase of the university's distinctive educational approach, which integrates "Cultural HUTB," "Artistic HUTB," and "Culture + Technology."
National First-Class Artist Peng Yuanliang, Zhou Lingzhao's family representative, and Zhou Kunming, President of the HUTB Hubei Alumni Association, spoke at the event. They congratulated the art exhibitions and expressed their best wishes for the university's continued development.
Amidst warm applause, the academicians, distinguished guests, and Chief Leaders jointly activated the technology sphere. As the light gathered, the "75 Years of Building Dreams Together, Achieving Great Accomplishments in Unity" Photography and Calligraphy Exhibition, and Zhou Lingzhao Art Exhibition, along with "Porcelain Charm and Craftsmanship" Peng Yuanliang Porcelain Painting Art Exhibition were officially launched.
Subsequently, academicians, distinguished guests, Chief Leaders, alumni, as well as teachers and students together visited the Lingnan Creative Center, where they explored the art exhibits and experienced the aesthetic impact of the exhibitions.
The "75 Years of Building Dreams Together, Achieving Great Accomplishments in Unity" Photography and Calligraphy Exhibition showcases over 100 works, highlighting the university's 75-year journey of development. In particular, it celebrates the university's remarkable achievements over the past decade, including the successful realization of the "Three-upgrade Strategy" goal, the high-quality development of the "Seven Major Characteristics of HUTB," and the efforts to build an innovative first-class university. The exhibition captures these milestones through the lens of photography and the strokes of calligraphy, leaving a lasting impression.
In the Zhou Lingzhao Art Exhibition hall, the displayed works cover a variety of categories including design, painting, and calligraphy, with over 80 pieces in total. All of these are original artworks by Mr. Zhou Lingzhao. The exhibition offers a comprehensive and systematic presentation of Mr. Zhou's lifelong artistic journey, his noble pursuit of serving the people, and his exemplary character marked by both virtue and artistry. Through his craftsmanship in national image design, the exhibition showcases the grandeur of the great era.
The "Porcelain Charm and Craftsmanship" Peng Yuanliang Porcelain Painting Art Exhibition features 57 works, showcasing the fusion of traditional Chinese painting and porcelain.
