2025-09-18
On September 17, the Artificial Intelligence for Industry and Manufacturing (AIM) Global Conference 2025 opens, jointly organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, and the Xiamen Municipal People's Government. A welcoming ceremony for new members is held during the conference, where HUTB is invited to formally join this global high-end platform. Wang Ren, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, attends the ceremony.

HUTB's accession to this international organization demonstrates the university's strategic foresight in global education planning. It signifies the university's formal entry into the core dialogue circle of the global industrial AI field, significantly enhancing its international influence. This move opens a window for research teams to access global industrial AI frontiers, facilitates international collaborative research, introduces global "solutions" to support Hunan's industrial upgrading, and establishes HUTB as a key bridge connecting global AI resources with the deep integration of Hunan's digital economy and intelligent manufacturing.
The Global Alliance on AI for Industry and Manufacturing (AIM Global) was launched in 2023 by UNIDO. It is an authoritative and widely influential international organization. The alliance is committed to serving as a global "connector" and "accelerator." It promotes the widespread application and inclusive development of artificial intelligence in the industrial manufacturing sector by establishing international dialogue platforms, advancing technological cooperation and innovation, participating in the formulation of technical standards and ethical guidelines, and strengthening capacity building and talent development. It is a significant force driving the intelligent transformation of global industry.
Moving forward, the university will leverage this high-end platform to deepen cooperation with global partners, jointly contributing wisdom and strength to promote the innovation, application, and sustainable development of industrial artificial intelligence.
