2025-11-22
From November 9 to 21, the 15th National Games of the People's Republic of China were grandly held in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Wang Jia, Zhou Shengwen, and Zhou Dijian—three national-level referees and faculty members from the School of Sports and Health at HUTB—were invited to officiate at the National Games, leveraging their exceptional professional expertise and extensive adjudication experience. With impartial judgments and a professional perspective, they served as guardians of fairness on the field, enhancing the reputation of HUTB.

Prior to the competition, the three faculty members underwent multiple rounds of high-intensity closed training organized by the General Administration of Sport of China. They systematically studied the latest international rules and passed rigorous theoretical and practical assessments. Adhering to a "zero-error" standard, they refined every detail of their adjudication work, laying a solid foundation for fair and precise officiating.
Teacher Wang Jia, a national-level gas volleyball referee and a seasoned official in this sport, has officiated at multiple major national competitions. During this National Games, she presided over both the preliminary rounds and the Greater Bay Area finals. Teacher Zhou Shengwen, a national-level wushu (martial arts) referee, is not only an experienced adjudication expert who has repeatedly served as chief referee for national competitions but also a "champion coach" at our university, having trained several national wushu champions. Teacher Zhou Dijian, a national-level beach volleyball referee, brings international experience from events such as the World Military Games and the Asian Games. Selected by the General Administration of Sport of China, he was assigned to officiate the beach volleyball finals in the Hong Kong competition zone. The exceptional performance of the three faculty members on the National Games stage serves as a vivid reflection of the results of our university's "Sports HUTB" initiative, enhancing its reputation and prestige.
