Introduction of the Lecturer: Liang Xiao, Doctor of Education returning from Canada, Associate Professor, the former teacher and the Dean of the Research Center of Canada in the School of Foreign Languages, at Hunan University of Commerce, is the Canadian Vice-President of Hunan Concord College of Sino-Canada , responsible for international affairs, Canadian courses and the English Department. She was the second place in the national finals of 2005 “Start of Outlook” English Talent Competition, the judge of the national finals of 2007 “Start of Outlook” English Talents Competition, and the field guide in the national finals of 2009 “Start of Outlook” English Talents Competition. Dr. Liang Xiao was invited to perform in the project promotion of the program of CCTV “Outlook” broadcasted in China. She was also the judge of the finals of Hunan Division of “Start of Outlook” English Talent Competition and senior trainer of many different English competitions in successive years. Dr, Liang paid academic visits to Canada in 2008 and 2012, with the full financial support from the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Department, and because of her perennial engagement in the academic and cultural exchange between Canada and China. Dr. Liang’s educational concepts were reported by many news media such as CCTV, China Educational TV, Hunan TV, Hunan Education TV, Changsha TV, Xiaoxiang Morning Newspaper, Hunan Radio and Television Newspaper, and so on.
