Speaker’s Profile:
Ni Xing, the professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Politics and Public Administration, South China Normal University, an expert enjoying the special government allowances from the State Council, a young and middle-aged expert with the outstanding contribution to the National Ten Million Talents Project, a member of the New Century Excellent Talent Support Program of the Ministry of Education, the expert of Discipline Planning Review Group of the National Society and Scientific Fund, standing director of the Chinese Political Society, deputy chairman of the Clean Government Construction and Governance Research Committee of the Chinese Academy of Management; concurrently as the member of advisory committees of Guangdong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Department of Public Security, Department of Transportation, and Health Commission, Guangzhou Municipal Government, Foshan Municipal Government, etc.
He has long been engaged in the research on the public management, local governance, Chinese government and politics, and clean government policies. He has visited dozens of universities and academic institutions in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Europe, etc. for the exchanges. He has published more than 100 academic papers in the top Chinese journals Social Sciencesin China, Politics Research, English SSCI top journals such as Public Administration Review, Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, etc., and more than 10 academic books, and independently presided over nearly 100 projects entrusted by national, provincial and local governments including major projects of the National Social Science Foundation. He has won the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, the second prize of the Higher Education Scientific Research Achievement Award of the Ministry of Education (Humanities and Social Sciences), the first prize of the Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, and the Outstanding Teacher Award of Baosteel. He lays emphasis on the integration of theory with practice, and pays close attention to and actively participate in the specific practice of national public management. The decision-making consultation report submitted has been approved by Wang Yang, Hu Chunhua and other national leaders.
