Brief introduction of the speaker:

      Zhang Chuting is a famous contemporary educationist and philosopher. Since 1982, he had been the chief administrative officer in Hunan Normal University for 18 years. Later, he served as president and honorary president of Hunan University of International Economics for 12 years, accounting for 30 years on the post of university president. Professor Zhang Chuting has taught 24 different courses and published more than 140 academic works, of which more than 100 are independently written, involving in philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, mathematics, management and other fields. Zhang Chuting has successively undertaken China's higher education research in the 21st century entrusted by the state departments and the Ministry of Education: such as the teaching reform and caliber education, comprehensive research on teaching theory, humanistic spirit framework of universities, theoretical research on quality education, etc. He shouldered the research on quality education and micro-teaching of Hunan's colleges and universities. He won the first prize and second prize of national teaching achievement; National Book Award; Two second prizes for national educational planning achievements; Outstanding Academic Works Award by University Press of Ministry of Education; The first prize of excellent higher education thesis of the Ministry of Education; Many honors such as the First Prize for Excellent Works of the National Institute of Higher Teachers' Studies.
