Introduction of the Speaker:
He Keng, male, born in May, 1942, Linxiang, Hunan province, is currently an Expert Advisory Committee member of National Philosophical and Social Science Research, head of the Statistics Section of National Leading Group for Philosophy and Social Science Planning, vice chairman and chief economist of Innovation China Think Tank, president of China City Scientific Development Association, and honorary dean of Xi’an Institute of Statistics. He Keng is a statistical educator, econometrician, professor, doctoral supervisor. Since 1992, he has enjoyed the special government allowance from the State Council. He has served as the 9th member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the 10th and 11th National People’s Congress Standing Committee, deputy director of Financial and Economic Committee, deputy director of National Bureau of Statistics, and vice chairman of the 12th Central Committee of Jiu San Society. He has additional posts as the president of China Statistical Education Society, vice president of the National Statistical Association Society of China, executive director of Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics, China Information Economics Association, and China Society of Urban Economy, director of National Committee for Compilation and Examination of Statistical Teaching Materials, deputy director of National Academic Committee on Statistical Science, member of Expert Committee of National Information Office, director of the Editorial Committee of Statistical Research, and dean of the National Statistical Cadre Training Institute.
