Introduction of the Speaker: Professor Deng got his doctor degree in International Business and Strategy from Old Dominion University in 1998. He is a tenured professor of School of Business, Cleveland State University. Because of his outstanding contributions in academic area, Professor Deng was awarded the highest academic honor in Cleveland State University, Monte Ahuja Distinguished Professor. Professor Deng’s major research directions include global strategy, investment in foreign countries and transnational merger and acquisition, etc. He has already published more than 30 influential papers in famous business and management journals. In 2009, Professor Deng published a paper Why do Chinese Enterprises Intend to Acquire Strategic Assets in International Expansion? on Web of Science. This paper has been widely quoted since 2014. According to Google, during the past five years, Professor Deng’s academic papers have been quoted more than 1300 times which make him one of the most influential scholars in Chinese internationalization area.
