Introduction of the speaker: He Jishan, from Liuyang County, Hunan Province, is the scholar of applied geophysics, the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the professor and doctoral supervisor of Central South University, the chairman of Hunan Association for Science and Technology, the deputy director of the Department of Energy and Mining of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the former president of the original Central South University of Technology, the honorary chairman of Hunan Association for Science and Technology, the vice chairman of Chinese Geophysical Society, and the lifetime member of SGE. He Jishan has been committed to the research on geophysical theory, method and technique, and observation system for a long time, presided over and completed more than 40 major scientific research projects, published more than 100 monographs and papers, obtained various patents, and won 24 national and provincial awards. Therein, “Dual-frequency Induced Polarization Research and Application in China” won the second prize of China National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 1995. “Productive Mine Geology and Geophysical Research” won the third prize of China National Scientific and Technological Progress Award in 1999. In 1999, the academician He Jishan created field flow method dam piping leakage detection theory and developed the world’s first batch of instrument equipment which can conduct the accurate detection of dam piping leakage entrance under the severe environment during the flood season, and the equipment obtained successful application in more than 10 provinces.
