Introduction of the speaker: Hu Bin is the entrant of the state “Thousand Talents Program”, national distinguished expert, 973 chief scientist, and leading talent of Gansu Province. Now, he is the School Head of Information Science & Engineering, Lanzhou University, and IET Fellow; He also is the visiting professor of ETH Zurich, IET Fellow Assessment Panel Member, the director of Cooperative Computing Branch of China Computer Federation, the member of Computer Science Education Supervisory Committee of the Ministry of Education, the appraisal committee member of EU Framework Programme (FP7) Health Information Computing, the member of Computer Science Expert Panel of the Department of Information Science of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the vice-chairman of China Branch of International Society for Neuroscience, and the member of China Branch of Web Intelligence Consortium (WIC), etc. His main research fields cover brain-computer interaction, psychological and physiological computing, and multi-modal data modeling. He also presided over many scientific research projects in the EU, Britain and China, including: British Higher Education Research Fund “Key Biosensing Technology Based on Mobile Platform” Project, and EU Framework 7 Major Research Plan “Universal Mental Health” Project. And, he presided over “973” program project “Research on Potential Depression Risk Early Warning Theory and Key Biosensing Technology Based on Biological and Psychological Multi-modal Information”, National Natural Science Foundation of China major international cooperation project “Research on Key Issues of Universal Psychological Intervention Based on Biological Information Feedback” and National Natural Science Foundation of China surface project and national fund for international cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology. He participated in “973” program “Research on Change Rule of Cognitive Ability of Astronauts Engaging in the Long-term Space Flight” and projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and other projects. He has published more than 100 papers in Science (supplement), Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, PLoS Computational Biology, PloS One, IEEE Intelligent Systems, IEEE Proceedings, Trans., AAAI, UbiComp, BIBM and other academic journals at home and abroad as well as international academic conferences, and also published 3 English monographs. He served as the chairman of the international conference or organizing committee for more than 60 times such as Brain Informatics, CSCW, UbiComp, etc., and made the keynote speech at the invitation of more than 40 international conferences and high-level universities. He served as the guest editor of the Advances in Computational Psychophysiology (Science Suppl.) and associate editor of IEEE Trans., Affective Computing, IET Communications, Cluster Computing, Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing, The Journal of Internet Technology, Wiley’s Security and Communication Networks and other international journals with SCI collection.
