Introduction of the speaker: Liu Xiangyang is the professor and doctoral supervisor in Computer Science and Technology Department of Nanjing University, and the Cheung Kong Scholar. He graduated from the Department of Computer Science of University of Texas - Austin in 2006, obtaining the doctor’s degree. He served as the assistant professor and associate professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Michigan State University from 2006 to 2013. He mainly engaged in the research on network and security. He won the Career Award issued by NSF and the William C. Carter Award jointly issued by IEEE and IFIP, the Withrow Distinguished Scholar Award issued by Michigan State University, ICNP Best Paper Award of the first-class international conference, George H. Mitchell Outstanding Graduate Student Scientific Research Award issued by University of Texas - Austin. As the first or sole project leader, he undertook 6 NSF projects. He was the editorial board member of international top journal ACM/IEEE Transactions on Networking (ToN) and the editor-in-chief of special topic of the international SCI journal - Journal of Computer Communications (COMCOM). He also served as the member, chairman and other posts of Program Committee at many first-class international conferences (such as SIGMETRICS, INFOCOM, ICNP, ICDCS, etc.). He has published more than 70 papers at many first-class international conferences (such as MOBICOM, INFOCOM, SIGMETRICS, PODC, ICSE, USENIX Security, ICNP, ICDCS, NDSS, DSN, VLDB, ICDE, etc.). And he has published more than 30 papers in ACM/IEEE Transactions and other famous SCI journals. Many of his papers have been selected and used by the graduate courses of first-class universities in America.
