Introduction to Speaker: Professor Zhang obtained Doctoral degree of Political Science from Columbia University and he is the Ex-Principal of Taiwan National Chengchi University, Ex-Dean of International Relationship Research Center of Taiwan National Chengchi University. Professor Zhang once taught at Hofstra University in New York, America and Western Illinois University and he did research on international relationship in John Hopkins University of Washington and University of California, Berkeley. In addition, Professor Zhang once worked as executive director of Taiwan Authorities Government Information Office, committee councilor of Ministry of Administration, head of Mainland Affairs Committee, central committee member of Taiwan’s Nationalist Party, Taiwan’s Presidential Palace National Policy Adviser. Professor Zhang is now Chairman of Taiwan Chinese Association for the Advancement of Hunan Culture, Chairman of Taiwan Chinese Cross-Strait Economy and Trade Investment Culture and Education Association. In recent years, Professor Zhang has been making efforts on promoting peaceful development of cross-strait relations.
