HUTB Women's Soccer Team Secures Third Place in 2nd Chinese College Students Beach Soccer Championship

On the afternoon of October 15, the 2nd Chinese College Students Beach Soccer Championship came to a successful conclusion. This competition was organized by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) and hosted by the Xiangshan County People's Government. As one of the series of events under the "Youth and the Sea" National College Students Coastal Sports Carnival, this event attracted over 300 athletes from 22 universities across China, including Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Chongqing University, Sun Yat-sen University, Central South University, Tongji University, and HUTB.

The university's women's soccer team participated in this competition. After several rounds of competition, Shenyang Ligong University won the championship by defeating Zhejiang University with a score of 3:2. Our university won the third place by defeating Jilin University with a score of 3:1. Fudan University, Zhejiang Gongshang University, Chongqing University of Science & Technology, and China University of Political Science and Law ranked fifth to eighth, respectively.

In the lead-up to the competition, our women's soccer team engaged in rigorous preparations for over a month, conducting daily training sessions at Songya Lake Beach Park. During the group stage, the university was placed in Group E alongside China University of Political Science and Law, Chongqing University of Science and Technology, and Zhejiang University. The group opponents were strong, with Zhejiang University having extensive competition experience. Despite this, the university broke through the group stage with tenacity and a mature style of play. In the semi-finals, we competed against Jilin University for the third place. Our players displayed remarkable performance, engaging in intense competition and ultimately defeating Jilin University with a score of 3:1, securing the third place in this competition.
