HUTB 2024 Faculty and Staff Children’s Summer Camp Opens

To enrich the summer vacation of the children of faculty and staff, and under the guidance and care of the CPC HUTB Committee, the university’s 2024 Faculty and Staff Children’s Summer Camp officially began on July 10. The summer camp is an important measure to address faculty and staff’s practical issues of summer care for their children and promote their healthy development. The camp, running from July 10 to August 2, spans four weeks and has attracted nearly 200 enthusiastic participants.
The curriculum of the summer camp was carefully designed to consider the children's interests and developmental needs. It includes activities such as table tennis, basketball, fitness, tennis, martial arts, singing, calligraphy, and painting, aiming to enhance the children's overall abilities. Based on age characteristics, the camp has been divided into 12 classes to ensure that each child receives a suitable learning experience.
To ensure teaching quality and management efficiency at the summer camp, the university has assembled a team consisting of 50 teachers and coaches, along with 36 college student assistants. At the same time, to enhance the learning environment for the participants, air coolers have been installed in the Yangfan Stadium, Zhuoyue Tennis Court, and the covered track and field areas this year, ensuring that the children can engage in activities in a cool and comfortable setting.
During the summer camp, activities will also include watching red-themed films and visiting the Hunan Science and Technology Museum for hands-on learning, allowing children to learn in a fun environment, broaden their horizons, and gain new insights. The diverse activities have been widely welcomed by the children and received unanimous praise from their parents. It is hoped that all faculty members and their children will have a fulfilling and enjoyable summer vacation. (Reported by the Labour Union)
