Innovation Forum of Lushan Lecture] - Professor Chen Zhangwang of Fuzhou University Gives a Lecture in HUTB

On May 22, Professor Chen Zhangwang of Fuzhou University was invited to give the second lecture of "Innovation Forum of Lushan Lecture" themed by the "True Marketing Experiences - Innovative Interpretation of Modern Marketing Concepts". The lecture was held in F201 Lecture Hall, Lezhi Building, presided over by Vice President Liu Guoquan and attended by the representatives of teachers and students.

Professor Chen Zhangwang took "the connotation of marketing" and "how to be a marketer" as the breakthrough point, and reconstructed the modern marketing concept in terms of the thinking, value, demand, communication, positioning, selling points, specialty, satisfaction, brand and service. He believes that the marketers shall grasp two handles and three power points, firmly focus on the sales and service, revitalize enterprises through sales, connect customers through services, promote the sales, and help enterprises continuously optimize the marketing decisions; develop the product power which cannot be replaced by rivals, strengthen the brand power with culture, style and story, and constantly iterate and innovate the marketing power; target the consumers with positioning, impress consumers with temperature, and find a fulcrum to defeat competitors; and understand the artistic beauty of marketing with the mentality of gratitude, sharing, tolerance and affinity. Finally, Professor Chen also shared some revelations and suggestions, proposing that "marketing lies in creating value, transmitting value, communicating value and taking value as common belief and that the deeper marketing goes, the greater its charm is." Professor Chen gave a detailed explanation to teachers and students in a humorous way, exchanged and interacted with everyone under the lively and warm atmosphere.
Professor Chen Zhangwang is the leader of the marketing discipline of Fuzhou University, a member of the Teaching Steering Committee of Business Administration in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, and the head of the national first-class undergraduate major (marketing) construction site and the national first-class undergraduate course Marketing. He has led 4 general projects of the National Social Science Fund, published more than 70 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, wrote 4 monographs such as Retail Marketing and Practical Views, and designed the integrated marketing communication plans for more than 90 enterprises inside and outside the province. In 2012, he was awarded the honorary title of “Top Ten Most Popular Marketing Professors in China", and the "Baosteel Education Award" in 2019.
