HUTB Holds Internal Contest for Hunan College Students E-Commerce Competition 2021

On the evening of May 26, the final of cross-border e-commerce special contest of HUTB for the Hunan College Students E-Commerce Competition 2021 was held in Classroom E305 of Lezhi Building. After the preliminary selection of cross-border e-commerce platform operation, 10 teams were shortlisted for the finals. The judging panel of the competition was composed of Yu Fang, Secretary General of Hunan Cross-border E-commerce Association, Yang Jie, General Manager of Hunan Cross-border E-commerce Integrated Service Center, Long Lufang, Deputy General Manager of SellerMotor (Hunan), Shi Yi, General Manager of Hunan Zeke Technology, and Professor Luo Shuanglin of School of Economy & Trade.

 


This final is a cross-border e-commerce big data analysis competition. With the real big data background provided by Logsmart cross-border e-commerce platform (AliExpress), data collection, data cleaning, data analysis, data mining and data visualization are carried out to form a complete cross-border e-commerce big data analysis report presenting the overall analysis ideas, analysis dimensions, data analysis and visualization process, exposed commercial value, etc.

 

Before the competition, Yin Yuanyuan, Deputy Dean of School of Economy & Trade, delivered a speech. He stressed the purpose and importance of this competition, thanked the judges, experts and instructors for their hard work, and placed high hopes on the students participating in the finals.

 

Subsequently, the competition officially kicked off. According to the order of drawing lots before the competition, with the real big data of AliExpress platform, the horticultural products industry market, Spanish national market, Russian market fishing products, game machine accessories products, skin care products, Spanish market hair care products, French beauty and health products were analyzed by ten teams through self-selected cross-border e-commerce, and PPT showing big data analysis was carefully produced for on-site speech defense. The contestants cooperated with each other tacitly, and provided the rich data and standardized charts, and defended the questions raised by the judges. After the fierce competition, Yingxiongliuxiang, SG123, W-power and Dingguagua won the first prize and participated in the provincial competition on behalf of HUTB; Qixiaodui, Talent, Frontline and INTO3 won the second prize; Nameless and Shannanshuibei won the third prize.

 

After the competition, the judges spoke highly of the performance of the participating teams and put forward many valuable suggestions. General Manager Shi Yi, an outstanding alumnus, made a final comment. He pointed out that the players of each team have demonstrated certain cross-border e-commerce expertise and flexible adaptability, but they still need to strengthen the actual research and operation of cross-border e-commerce export products, hoping that the teams advancing to the provincial competition will sum up their experience in time, further prepare for the provincial competition, and strive for good results in the provincial competition.
