First Graduation Thesis Defense of Foreign Students Successfully Completed

On the afternoon of May 25, graduation thesis defense of foreign students in 2021 majoring in international economics and trade was held in Classroom B102, and this was also the first graduation thesis defense of foreign students.

International Economics and Trade began to recruit foreign students in 2017. Thirteen foreign students from Ethiopia, Yemen, Nigeria, Peru and other countries formed the first class of foreign students in HUTB.

For the purpose of effectively avoiding the impact of COVID-19 epidemic, School of Economy & Trade worked out a detailed work plan according to the situation, and the instructors gave thesis guidance in different ways and means. Finally, 13 graduated foreign students successfully completed their graduation thesis. The defense was conducted on-site or online according to the actual situation of foreign students. On-site defense was held for 3 foreign students in China, and online defense was for 10 other students in their countries. 13 graduated students were well prepared with the intact PPT, clear thinking and fluent language. They were unanimously affirmed and praised by the evaluation teachers and all passed the defense smoothly.

Through the whole training process of foreign students in 2021 majoring in international economics and trade, the training path and mode of international students are further explored to obtain the important experiences and lay a good foundation for HUTB to better promote the education of foreign students.
