HUTB "Youth Volunteers Make Contributions to New Era" Series of Activities in Lei Feng Month Officially Launched

March 5 this year is the 58th Memorial Day of Learning from Lei Feng. Recently, the Youth League Committee of HUTB officially launched a series of activities in Lei Feng Month around the theme of "Youth Volunteers Make Contributions to New Era" with a desire to vigorously cultivate and implement the core values of socialism, further promote the spirit of Lei Feng, keep increasing the influence and radiation of volunteer service, and unite the centripetal force of young people and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China with practical actions.

On the morning of March 5, the Youth League Committee of HUTB carried out activities such as "Green Sanxiang, Beautiful Hunan Tour" Hexiaoqing Volunteer Service, "Taste of Growth—Five Prevention Public Welfare Propaganda" and other activities in Yingcai Square, and sent out a call for students to sign the banner with "Youth Volunteers Make Contributions to New Era", marking the official launch of this year's series of activities in Lei Feng Month. Next, the Youth League Committee of HUTB will also organize a poster exhibition on the theme of "Learn from Lei Feng and showcase the spirit of volunteerism", a collection of works on the theme of "Youth volunteers build the spirit of Lei Feng", "How much do you know about the party's history" prize quiz, and public welfare donation, etc. The activities will also be conducted outside the campus, such as the “One-to-One Love Family Education” volunteer service project in cooperation with Changhua Community of Wangchengpo Subdistrict; “Happy Naive Children” in cooperation with the Chunzhihui Exceptional Child Assistance Center; and “Popularize the Law for Children, Follow the Law Together" volunteer service project in cooperation with Lujing Community of Wangchengpo Subdistrict. In addition, the Youth League Committee will continue to carry out the volunteer services such as "Green Sanxiang, Beautiful Hunan Tour", "Taste of Growth—Five Prevention Public Welfare Propaganda" and "Little Science in Life", and "Revolutionary Storytelling to Promote the Spirit of Struggle" lectures on party history, etc.

In recent years, the Youth League Committee of HUTB has promoted the institutionalization and normalization of the voluntary service of Lei Feng based on the spirit of "dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress", and taken this opportunity to effectively encourage the students to actively participate in social welfare undertakings to build a noble character, cultivate a sunny mentality and contribute the youth power to the society.
