A Delegation Led by Vice President Liu Guoquan Attends 11th Presidents’ Forum on Chinese Higher Financial Education

On November 27, as an organizer, Guangxi University of Finance and Economics held the 11th Presidents’ Forum on Chinese Higher Financial Education hosted by the Higher Finance Education Branch of the Chinese Higher Education Society. Over 200 experts and scholars from more than 70 financial universities nationwide gathered in Guangxi University of Finance and Economics to discuss the “new opportunities, new challenges, and new missions amid China's great reform of financial education”. This forum was attended by Liu Guoquan, Vice President of HUTB, and leaders of HUTB’s Teaching Evaluation Center and the Academic Affairs Division.

According to the new requirements under new situations in the new era, this forum set four topics, namely, the key problems, hotspots, and difficult issues of China’s higher financial education during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the optimization and reengineering of the model to train top-notch innovative “New Financial” talents, overall evaluation of the construction of “Double First-class” Initiative amid the elimination of assessment standards only focusing on papers, summaries, titles, academic degrees, and awards, the reform and innovation of teaching models of financial universities in the “post epidemic” era. Around the topics, the participating presidents and financial experts from the financial universities deeply discussed and exchanged their views on international perspectives, patriotism, talent training, discipline construction, teaching practices, and industry-education integration, brainstorming and offering suggestions for the future development of higher financial education in the new era.
