HUTB Students Achieve Great Results in the 2020 “HEP Cup” National Business English Practice Competition (in Central China)

Recently, the 2020 “HEP” Cup National Business English Practice Competition (in Central China), hosted by the International Business English Research Committee of China Association of International Trade, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and the Higher Education Press and organized by Jiangxi Normal University, was held at Jiangxi Normal University . HUTB team composed of Business English majors enrolled in 2018 and tutored by Gao Tao and Zhou Ling, two teachers from the School of Foreign Languages, won the third prize.

Themed at “Recognizing Opportunity for Changes and Seeking Victories”, this competition required students to study how companies could go on running in the severe environment caused by COVID-19, global economic stagnation, and the fractures in the global trade chain. Due to the impact of the epidemic, the whole contest was held online. After the semi-finals, HUTB students stood out among the participating teams from 15 universities in Central China, entered the regional contest, and finally won the third prize. That fully demonstrated HUTB students’ high specialty literacy and HUTB teachers’ excellent teaching quality.
