School of Computer Science & Information Engineering Gives Orientation Lecture for 2020 Freshmen

On the evening of September 24, the School of Computer Science & Information Engineering gave specialty orientation lectures for 2020 freshmen respectively in the Student Activity Center, the Multifunctional Conference Hall in the Library, and Classrooms 2303, 2304 and 2305 in the Teaching Building of the North Campus. This event was aimed to instruct the 2020 freshmen to start the campus life, develop learning awareness, and set their study goals. These lectures were categorized by specialties, given by Vice Dean Li Xiaolong and responsible teachers from relevant departments, and attended by all the 2020 freshmen.

 


Vice Dean Li Xiaolong talked about the discipline division for computer majors in their sophomore year. He encouraged students to work hard to learn professional knowledge. He emphasized that they should set study goals as early as possible, develop relevant awareness, and embrace the colorful and challenging college life with full enthusiasm and firm confidence. Additionally, several teachers briefed the freshmen. Zhou Kaijun mainly talked about the current situation, training goals and plans, and prospects of the electronic information engineering specialty. Basedon his study and work experience, Zhou Xinmin talked about in detail the history and future development of the information management specialty.Jiang Lin introduced the basic information, employment fields, training and study plans as well as other aspects of the AI specialty.Chen Yan elaborated on the engineering management specialty from market, talent demand, technology and other perspectives... Every student listened carefully, with full expectation for the coming college life and confidence in studying professional knowledge in their curious and earnest eyes.
