HUTB Holds Online Baduanjin Competition for College Students

The Department of Physical Education & Research specially held the 2020 online Baduanjin competition for HUTB students. Baduanjin is a bodybuilding breathing exercise. Through the Baduanjin competition, the school could further implement the epidemic prevention and control work, enhance the anti-epidemic abilities of massive students, enrich their cultural life during their staying at home, boost their physical and mental health, create a positive and healthy cultural atmosphere, and demonstrate students’ good mental outlook.

The competition started from the preliminary contests in early May and ended with the finals in late June, lasting nearly two months. The preliminary contests involved the full participation of freshmen and sophomores in online learning and practices as well as teacher guidance. According to the results of preliminary contests, course teachers recommended the finalists. Finally, a total of 109 students across the university entered the finals. According to the rules and through careful judgmentsby the referees, 10 students won the first prizes, including Wu Tong from the School of Business Administration, Duan Yuqing from Beijin College, Liu Jinyu from the School of Foreign Languages, and Shi Linyuan from the School of Tourism Management; another 20 students won the second prizes; another 30 students won the third prizes; the School of Computer Science & Information Engineering, Beijin College, and School of Finance won the first prize, the second prize, and the third prize of group awards respectively.
