School of Mathematics and Statistics Studying and Implementing the Spirit of “Two Sessions”

Recently, all the Party branches at School of Mathematics and Statistics have successively organized and carried out thematic Party Day activityin May to study the spirit and important documentsof the “CPPCC and NPC Sessions”(hereinafter referred to as “Two Sessions”) . The activity adopted online-to-offline form, with leadership members of the college taking the leadandall Party members among teachers and students of thecollege participating. By such means as personal self-study and concentrated discussion, they earnestly studied and grasped the spirit of the “Two Sessions”,combined with the practical work of the college, conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions, and truly realized deep understanding and application of what they have learned.
Zhang Jian, the Party Secretary of Faculty Doctors Branch, believes that China’s development is facing unprecedented risks and challenges, however, we benefit from unique institutional advantages, strong economic foundation, great market potential and hundreds of millions of people’s diligence and wisdom. As long as we faceup tovariouschallenges, firmthe developmentconfidence, enhance the development momentum and make full use of the important strategic opportunities for China's development, we are sure to overcome the current difficulties, and China's development is sure to be hopeful. Based on the important speeches byGeneral Secretary Xi Jinpingat the “Two Sessions”, the Government Work Report and their own work, the other Party membersamong teachers also talked about their own realizations and future work plans.
Liu Xing, a Party member of the Graduates Branch, said that the “Two Sessions”wasa major event in the domestic political and economic life. The state is trying the best to to improve the people’s livelihoodand keeps the people’s comfort and well-beingsin mind at all times. By expanding employment channels, accelerating the perfection of social security systemand improving the education and medical servicelevel, the government has donemore practical and good things that conform to public opinion, relieve people's worries and increase people's benefits. As a youth in the new era, he is deeply proud of theprosperous time.
Zhang Jinming, a Party member of No.2 Undergraduates Branch, said that stabilizing employment was the top priority for people’s livelihood and the most basic motivation for economic development. As Party membersamong the graduates, we should give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role, closely unite around the CPC Central Committee led byGeneral Secretary Xi Jinping, and help the countryto get over difficulties. Under the various preferential employment policies issued by the state, we should set up a correct employment view, actively participate in various online and offline recruitment activities, and guide the graduates to correct their employment attitude, enhance employment confidence and overcome employment difficulties.
Xie Xiaoliang, Dean of the School, demanded that the Party-member teachers should placestudying, publicizingand implementing thespirit of the “Two Sessions” in an important position; take itas the point of strength and point of innovationinthe current teaching and scientific research work; do well in studying and elucidating the spirit of the important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping, so that it can systematically enter “teaching materials”,“classrooms” and “brains”. He emphasized that the employment mentioned in the Government Work Report is closely related to the graduates.Besides the government and the university provide the graduates with better employment environment, we should take an active action to carry out employment work, improve the students’ employability and employment awareness, and encourage the students to integrate their personal ideals into the national development.
Yang Gang, Deputy Party Secretary of the School, emphasized that studying, publicizing and implementing the spirit of the national “Two Sessions” is an important political task at present. All Party branches should combine conscientious study and deep understanding of the important speeches byGeneral Secretary Xi Jinpingat the “Two Sessions”and the Government Work Reportwith the implementation of the fundamental task of moral education and talent cultivationand the realization of high-quality education development in HUTB, and consciously practice the spirit of the “Two Sessions” in daily life, work and study. We should remain true our original aspiration in the moral education and talent cultivation, use love and responsibility to escort the students’ development and success, continuously strengthen the sense of responsibility and mission to train qualified builders and reliable successors for CPC and the country. Willing to be a ladder, work hard and devoteourselves, we should actively guide the students to establish lofty patriotismfeelings, guide the graduates to set up correct employmentview, and encourage the graduates to take an activepart in the employment and entrepreneurship.
