[Special Topic of Volunteer Activities for the Country People] "Yifan Fengshun Team" Went to Sanjia Township to Explore the Ancient Village Culture

Recently, the team of Volunteer Activities for the Country People in the summer, named "Yifan Fengshun" went to Sanjia Village, Sanjia Township, Lianyuan City for field research. On Jun. 21, 2019, Sanjia Village, Sanjia Township, Lianyuan City was included into the List of the Fifth Batch of Traditional Chinese Villages, which is a unique ancient cultural village. On the way to Sanjia village, the team members could also see that the houses along the road have obvious architectural features of the Republic of China.
Under the leadership of the local government staff, the practice team arrived and investigated ancient architectural complexes with different characteristics, and preliminarily sorted out the past and present life of these ancient architectural complexes through the discussion, individual interviews and other ways. In addition, the team members also went to the Cultural Station of Sanjia Township and carried out field visits in several villages around Tongpen Village of Sanjia Township after the negotiation with the responsible person of the local Cultural Station. Through the visit and observation of the leading teachers and team members, it was found that there were many other ancient architectures around Yushichu. Yushichu Building, Minshen Hall, Yiyuan Garden, Bamboo and Pine Garden, and Hongqi Housing Estate were all densely distributed here.
Minshen Hall is the first destination. It was built by Liang Qingtian in the early years of Daoguang. There are 7 main buildings, 2 entrance halls and 2 garths, 1 hallway and 5 patios. The courtyard covers an area of more than 3,000 m2and the building area is more than 4,200 m2. Zeng Guofan came to Minshen Hall and wrote a couplet for the Hall when he recruited Hunan army: "explore diligently and swiftly, and be strict with oneself". According to the interview with the surrounding residents, Minshen Hall has been destroyed to some extent due to the lack of protection. Under the guidance of local residents, the practice team then came to Taiyi Library. Taiyigong, the seventieth ancestor of Liang family, moved to Sanyachong (Lianyuan City) at the south end of Anhua County during the Shaoxing period of Emperor Gaozong of Song Dynasty. He lived in this place where there were many wars, tigers and leopards. A large-scale ancient village group was built over more than ten generations of hard work. There is not only the origin records of the local Liang family, but also the symbol of the local family spirit.
After a few days of study and visit, "Yifan Fengshun Team" has not only felt the strong Qing cultural ambience of Sanjia Village, but also been influenced by the long-standing Liang family style. During the investigation, they politely asked questions to the local residents and communicated enthusiastically, which was widely recognized, and they also accumulated rich experience for the future social practice.
