Professor Peng Lifang, Deputy Director of the E-commerce Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Came to Our University to Give Lectures

On May 31, Professor Peng Lifang, Deputy Director of the E-commerce Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Doctoral Supervisor of Xiamen University and Director of the Department of Management Science of the School of Management, gave a lecture entitled "Innovation and E-commerce" in Classroom A309 of Zhicheng Building. The lecture was hosted by Professor Xiang Guocheng, Dean of the School of Economy & Trade. Relevant teachers and students in our university listened to the lecture.

The lecture focused on innovation, e-commerce innovation and e-commerce innovation of students. She vividly explained the definition of innovation and the seven levels of innovation with different cases. The abstract concepts such as imitative innovation, micro innovation, offside innovation, inclusive innovation, disruptive innovation, original innovation and e-commerce innovation were concreted one by one based on the explanation. She encouraged students to have bold ideas about "owning what others do not have and owning what better than others".

The lecture of Professor Peng is rich in content, novel viewpoint and simple but profound. Teachers and students present benefit a lot. (Zhou Yi)
