The Youth Association of Hunan University of Commerce Joins Hands with Xiangya Hospital Central South University to Hold Caring Activity during Children’s Day

Our young volunteers joined hands with Xiangya Hospital to hold condolence activities during Children’s Day on Jun. 1. Under the organization and coordination of Social Worker Service Department of Xiangya Hospital and Home of Volunteers, our volunteers learned every child patient from doctors and prepare many exquisite gifts for children of different ages in advance. They came to every inpatient ward to send greetings to every child.
At the beginning, children lying on bed were resistible, but, they were active to share life with volunteers a moment later. Impressed by their smile on face, volunteers were more determined to serve others. Then, they worn doll clothes to accompany child patients in emergency department, give out gifts and take photos with them. As a result, the image of volunteer team was deeply rooted in the hearts of people.
Our young volunteers had reached long-term cooperation with Xiangya Hospital Central South University to carry out “Loving Book Bar+ Interesting Class” activity in Xiangya Hospital on every Tuesday and Friday. (Youth Association of Hunan University of Commerce)
