The Ninth Program Design Competition was Held in Our University Successfully

The Ninth Program Design Competition for College Students sponsored by Dean's Office and Office of Student Affairs and organized by the School of Computer Science & Information Technology of HNUC was held successfully on November 27.

The Ninth Programming Competition of HNUC started the sign-up on November 1, and 112 teams involving 201 students throughout the university participated in the competition. The competition formally started on 9:00 a.m. November 27 in Room 202, 203 and 305 of the Experimental Building. The competition was very intense, and the top ranks had changed many times. The participants competed vigorously for the awards.

With the progress of the competition, balloons in different colors in the site increases, which mitigated the intense atmosphere in the site. After five hours of fierce competition, the team "She is the Belief" composed by Yang Xiu from computer class No. 1501 and Chen Qing from computer class No. 1504 won the first place, while the "Casual" team composed of Zeng Huhong and Qian Jun from software class No. 1401 was ranked at the second place because of much more time they used.

After the competition, 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 10 third prizes were determined based on the quantity and time for questions answered by each team.

A large number of new students engaged in this competition, showing their great enthusiasm and winning a lot. Students have a deeper understanding on their majors by this competition, which also stimulated their interest in learning programming, enhanced their confidence in their majors and improved their ability of programming.
