School of Tourism Management Held Tianyue and Mufu Mountain Fuxi Culture Forum at Pingjiang County

From November 5 to 6, "Hunan Fuxi Culture Research Society" of School of Tourism Management of our university held "Tianyue and Mufu Mountain Fuxi Culture Forum" at Pingjiang County, Yueyang City. 30 experts from Institute of Historical Research of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Ancient Civilization and State Origin Research Center of Chongqing Normal University, China Society of Yin-Shang Civilization, Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, Hunan Archaeological Institute, Hunan University of Commerce, Huitong County Cultural Relics Bureau, etc. attended the forum.

At the seminar, chairman of Hunan Fuxi Culture Research Society He Gang gave a speech and he demonstrated that Fuxi Culture existed 8000~6300 years ago by combining his archaeological research achievements for many years and legends about Fuxi inventing fishing net, eight diagrams and white pottery. Cultural relics unearthed from Hongjiang high temple relics in Huaihua City were corresponding to Fuxi Culture and were the only correspondence. It could be summarized based on this that Hunan was the important source of China's Fuxi Culture. More than 10 experts, including deputy director of Institute of Historical Research of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Wang Zhenzhong, executive deputy director of Chinese Ancient Civilization and State Origin Research Center Chang Yunping, vice-chairman of China Society of Yin-Shang Civilization Guo Xudong, vice-chairman and senior vice chairman of Hunan Fuxi Culture Research Society Zhou Xingyi and Xiao Jingdong gave an academic speech successively. Professor Wang Peiliang - director of Convention-Exhibition Economy and Administration Department of School of Tourism Management of HNUC and executive vice secretary-general of Hunan Fuxi Culture Research Society read out Interpretation for the Picture on the Bottom of High Temple White Pottery Gui (Container for Filling Food in the Ancient) and put forward this picture reflected the truth of high temple being ancient altar, verified the layout of Jian Tree (sacred tree in the ancient) of high temper altar touching the sky, embodied that the method of sacrificing gods by virtue of burning jade and silk and sacrifice at the high temper, uncovered that high temper was the source of ancient dragon and phoenix worship and revealed high temper ancestors' faith of fang totem.
