Deputy Director of National Urban Management Specialized Committee Liu Guangzhu Came to Our University for Giving Lectures

On the evening of October 16, Liu Guangzhu - deputy director of RSAC Urban Management Specialized Committee and member of national urban management teaching commission was invited to give a theme lecture regarding "Urban Development Rule and Urban Management" at the F101 moot court of Lezhi Building.

The lecture was implemented based on five aspects as "City Work Conference held by the Central Government", "Lightspot of the City Work Conference", "Thinking on Urban Development Law", "Rational Structure on Urban Land Use" and "Professional Talent Cultivation of Urban Management". Firstly, professor Liu Guangzhu analyzed why urban management major would become a popular specialty in the coming years by virtue of a series of documents and data charts, and gave a detailed explanation by taking Qingdao University of Science and Technology where he works as an example and he said the employment rate of students graduated from the urban management major of School of Economic and Management had continuously ranked second for five consecutive years (there are 7 majors in this School).

Secondly, professor Liu Guangzhu deeply discussed the rule of urban development and explained the relationship between city and economy, land and people, people and people, earth and earth, city and resource. Professor Liu Guangzhu emphasized that urban management major was the major approved by Ministry of Education, and the development of urban management major had stepped into the right path and its booming spring was coming. And he appealed to students to be proud of their major and take pride in it.

Finally, professor Xiang Yanzhong made a summary for professor Liu’s speech, expressed his wishes to students and encouraged students to cherish the opportunity and study hard. (Wu Lidu)
