In order to enhance the artistic accomplishment of the faculty, promote communication and cooperation among them, and create a more vibrant atmosphere of "Artistic HUTB", the Labour Union and the School of Art & Design jointly organized the "Artistic HUTB · Aesthetic Education Cultural Festival" faculty tea art training activities. On the evening of October 27, the first lecture on "Introduction to Tea Culture" was held at the Creativity Workshop in the Lingnan Campus.

At the event, Ms. Wu Lanping, a national senior tea artist and tea appraiser, gave a clear and concise lecture on the history of Chinese tea culture, the basic spirit of Chinese tea ceremony, and the important elements of tea culture such as tea customs and basic brewing techniques.
Ms. Wu pointed out that China is the birthplace of tea, and the Chinese tea culture that has been formed over thousands of years has become an important part of traditional Chinese culture. Chinese tea ceremony emphasizes the concept of "harmony between heaven and mankind", which aims to achieve a harmonious unity between humans and the nature. By appreciating the beauty of nature through tea tasting, one can attain a state of harmony between body and mind. Through the practice of tea ceremony, people can cultivate their sentiments, improve themselves, and promote interpersonal communication and harmony. Drinking tea was one of the seven common practices in ancient China. Different regions and ethnic groups have their own unique tea customs, which not only reflect the local lifestyles and customs but also demonstrate the cultural diversity and unity of the Chinese nation. Ms. Wu also taught the basic techniques of brewing tea and conducted a tea art demonstration.
After the lecture, everyone expressed their appreciation, stating that through this learning experience, they not only gained a deeper understanding of Chinese tea culture but also developed a new awareness of their own quality of life and social etiquette. It also added a new color to the "Artistic HUTB" cultural campaign, which is beneficial for promoting the inheritance and development of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
It is reported that the series of tea art training activities under the "Artistic HUTB · Aesthetic Education Cultural Festival" series tea art training activities will be conducted in 6 sessions, from October 27 to December 1, every Friday evening. (Reported by Labour Union)
