Students from School of International Business Serve As Full-time Interpreters for the "International Observation Mission to Changsha" Event

Recently, the "She Empowers Global R&D - International Observation Mission to Changsha" event, co-hosted by the Changsha Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Municipal Government, and undertaken by the Changsha Women's Federation with the cooperation of CRI Online, has been successfully concluded. Rao Taifeng, Wu Tong, and Zhou Xuanyu, three students from the School of International Business, HUTB, volunteered as interpreters and provided interpreting services for the 8 foreign female experts participating in the international observation mission.

During the event, they accompanied 8 foreign experts to conduct in-depth investigations into enterprise workshops and project sites. They were able to use a large number of professional terms and vocabulary to accurately and fluently interpret for the foreign experts, demonstrating the broad international perspective and excellent comprehensive qualities of HUTB students. At the same time, they also presented the positive and confident attitude of HUTB students, showing their good demeanor and enterprising spirit, which was acknowledged and appreciated by the foreign experts and the organizers.

It is reported that through on-site investigations and exchanges, this event aimed to understand the current development status of women in scientific research in Changsha. It also reflected the advantages of Changsha in talent development, project attraction, business environment, policy system, and other aspects. This event will contribute to Changsha's efforts to attract international talent resources and build itself into a global research and development hub city.
