[ZAKER Xiaoxiang] The Fifth Hunan College Student "Internet Plus" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Came to a Successful Conclusion

During Aug. 26-28, the Fifth Hunan College Student "Internet Plus" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of "CCB Cup" was held at Hunan University of Technology and Business.
There were 120 colleges and universities, 88,496 projects, 215,827 students in this competition. Since its launch in April this year, the school competitions and provincial intermediary contests were conducted, and 341 teams from 66 colleges and universities in the province were enlisted in the provincial finals, including 200 main higher education tracks, 73 Youth Red Dream Building Trip tracks and 68 vocational education tracks.
After fierce competition, 60 projects such as "Zhongda Kejie, the Innovator of Biological Treatment for Heavy Metal Pollution" of Central South University, "Intelligent Transformation of Urban Lighting System in 5G Era" of Hunan University, "Application of Biological Prevention and Control Technology for Feed Mycotoxin" of Hunan Agricultural University, and "Classroom Learning Aid Decision Analysis System Based on AI Behavior Big Data" of Hunan University of Technology and Business, etc. won the first prize. In addition, the competition also selected 120 second prizes, 181 third prizes, 30 excellent organization awards, and 60 excellent innovation and entrepreneurship mentors, and 43 projects were selected into the national finals.
Among them, 10 teams of Hunan University of Technology and Business were shortlisted in the provincial finals, winning 5 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 2 third prizes. "Microfluidic Detector - Leader in Detection of Fruit and Vegetable Pesticide Residue" and "'Intelligent+' Waste Classification and Recycling System - Pioneer of Waste Classification Solution in Smart City" were selected into the national finals. For the "Microfluidic Detector - Leader in Detection of Fruit and Vegetable Pesticide Residue", the enzyme inhibition method is used to detect fruit and vegetable pesticide residue. A machine can detect 12 samples at the same time. At present, the sample machine has been produced, and there are trial sites in Changsha. For the "'Intelligent+' Waste Classification and Recycling System - Pioneer of Waste Classification Solution in Smart City", the waste compression and purification & cleaning technology is used to compress the water in the waste, purify the leachate in the waste, and reduce the cyclic pollution of the waste to the soil and atmosphere.
Chen Xiaohong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Hunan University of Technology and Business, said that in this era of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, the university does not simply make "Internet Plus" innovation and entrepreneurship competition into a simple competition, but regards it as an important platform for cultivating innovation spirit, entrepreneurial awareness and innovation & entrepreneurship ability of university students, an important starting point for deepening the reform and development of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and a key measure to cultivate "Internet Plus" new technologies, new formats and new models.
