News of HNEDU.cn (Correspondent Xiao Shenyu and Liang Hui) Recently, in order to respond to the call of rural revitalization strategy, promote the university-town cooperation, and strengthen the industry-university-research cooperation and innovation, "Jinying Team" formed by students from School of Literature and Journalism of Hunan University of Technology and Business, actively engages in national ecological construction, and goes to Dabo Village, Fukou Town, Lianyuan City to explore the featured tourism development mode of prunus serrulata in Dabo Village, Fukou Town, Lianyuan City from the perspective of cultural creativity.
The team members first discussed and communicated with Lianyuan Municipal Government officials and tourism companies to further understand the overall situation of tourism development in Dabo Village and Lianyuan City. Wang Peiliang, Deputy Mayor of Lianyuan City, praised the social practice activities of Volunteer Activities for the Country People during the summer vacation. He also hoped that students could give suggestions for the tourism development in Dabo Village and even the whole city from the perspective of overall development, and that students could improve the practical ability in this activity.
Under the guidance of local villagers, team members climbed the mountain on foot, investigated the overall situation of tourism resources, and used UAV and other modern equipment to survey the overall terrain of Dabo Village. Dabo Village is located in the central region of Hunan Province, with an altitude of 700-800 m. It is cool and sunny most of the time in summer. The temperature is about 5℃ lower than that of the town and 8 ℃ lower than that of Loudi City. It is very suitable for summer. In addition to the unique geographical location for summer, there are rich wild animal and plant resources due to the high vegetation coverage. The reservoir has a water capacity of more than 200,000 cubic meters, good water quality and high vegetation coverage. Dabo village, with its back against Dading Mountain, is suitable for mountaineering, sightseeing, and wild fruit picking. Last year, more than 10,000 tourists were attracted to Dabo village due to the more than 5,000 mu of wild cherry blossom grove.
The team members of the group showed no less enthusiasm despite the drizzle on that day. They came to the village committee for a symposium to understand the local government policies on tourism development and the villagers' attitudes towards tourism development. In recent years, the infrastructure in Dabo Village has been gradually improved relying on government policy support. However, the driving force of economic development is insufficient. The villagers strongly support and look forward to tourism development, hoping that it can bring new opportunities to the local economy and social people's livelihood.
In spite of the long journey and arduous conditions, the team members are hard-working and sweating, and carry out all kinds of research work enthusiastically. The spirit of enterprising and hardworking dedication of HNUC students has been highly praised by the local villagers, and the village committee cadres of Dabo Village and the local tourism development companies all thanked the team. This activity not only cultivated the volitional quality of university student volunteers, but also trained their practical ability and teamwork spirit, laying a good foundation for their future growth.
