[xinhuanet] Tourism Specialty Skill Competition for University Students in the Whole Province Was Held in HNUC

Client-side of Xinhua News Agency, news on November 7 (Zhou Siyue, Wang Jiaojiao). On November 6, the 3rd Tourism Specialty Integrated Skill Competition for Hunan University Students was held in HNUC. 61 teams from 26 colleges and universities in Hunan participated in the fierce competition.
This competition took "internet+ tourism entrepreneurship project" as the theme and required each team participating in the competition to closely integrate the internet, cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things and other new generation of information technologies with short plank and bottleneck faced by current tourism industry development, to provide good creativity and idea for Hunan Province tourism industry development facing new challenges and embracing a new type of business. This competition regarded "design for tourism products" as core content and requested participating teams to carry out a comprehensive analysis on the corresponding background based on consumer demand, national life, economic development, etc. and design tourism products which have distinct features and are full of core competitiveness.
At the competition field, the journalist saw new concepts integrating internet+ and tourism entrepreneurship such as "Zhenguanjia", "Jiaodaoyoufang", "Lvanbao APP" and "internet+ ancient village and town" were "masterpieces" from post-90 tourism practitioners. And Lvanbao APP designed by participating team from Jishou University put forward a feasible plan regarding the safety of the tourism industry. With a view to development of lodge in Hunan villages, the participating team from Hunan Normal University regarded building featured homestay to drive village tourism industry development as the target, formulated a good plan, integrated idle resources and made full use of them. And "surefire toilet" raised by participating team from HNUC gained critical acclaim by expert judges.
Industry elites from all travel agencies such as Hunan CYTS and Hunan Overseas Travel Co., Ltd., etc. acted as competition judges who asked professional questions and gave a wonderful review for participants' creative solutions. At the closing ceremony, president of HNUC Chen Xiaohong gave a speech and pointed out that colleges and universities had become the main battle area for innovation and entrepreneurship, and it's necessary to continue to cultivate high-quality tourism talents to provide more talent support for promoting Hunan green development.
Deputy director-general of Education Department of Hunan province Ge Jianzhong remarked on this competition. He pointed out that this competition embodied three "high correspondences", namely high correspondence with central government gist, nascent state of our tourism industry development and university students' entrepreneurship, and said that cultivation of tourism specialty talents was the important foundation for realizing continuous, healthy and steady development of the tourism industry. He hoped that colleges and universities could practically strengthen talent cultivation to drive integral elevation of Hunan tourism quality.
After the fierce competition, 10 teams from Hunan University of Commerce, Xiangtan University, Hunan Normal University and other four colleges and universities won the first prize of this competition.
