[Hunan Daily] Opening of China’s First ”College Student Creative Market”

Hunan Daily-news on October 15 (Journalist Zhu Zhi) China’s first "college student creative market" was opened at the Buduo Hall Art Gallery of Hunan University of Commerce on this morning. More than 500 students in school or graduates of the current year from Hunan University of Commerce, Hunan University, Hunan Arts and Crafts Vocational College, Hunan College of Information Technology, Hunan International Economics University and Southwestern Normal University came here for transaction in the market with over 2,000 creative works. The volume of transaction in the first day exceeds 800 works.
The market opened at 9:00 a.m. Journalists swarmed into Buduo Hall Art Gallery along with the crowd and saw that various creative works which were exquisite and small were displayed at 12 booths full of beautiful things. There were ceramics with different shapes, ornaments and bracelets with ingenious collocation, painting beach umbrella, mobile phone shell and Han Chinese Clothing with strong Chinese style, bags of cakes and salad embodying environmental protection and attractive design, etc. The price of creative works range from RMB 10 to 1,500.
"College student creative market" is the national college student creative transaction platform built by School of Design Art of Hunan University of Commerce and Buduo Hall Art Gallery together, which was pioneering across the country. Transaction in the market is free and three is no threshold. The first opening of the market lasted for one day, and the last weekend of each month of subsequent term was set as a market-day with normalized operation during winter and summer vacation.
According to introduction, at present, most creative works from various artistic designing and marketing major students of local colleges and universities in Hunan entered the market for transaction, and partial creative works were bought out by enterprises before opening the market for investment, production and bulk sale. The organizer was organizing students from various colleges and universities and entrepreneurs across the country to be here for transaction, signing contracts and cooperation in a planned way.
