Foshan University President Hao Zhifeng and His Delegation Visit HUTB

On the morning of July 8, a 5-member delegation led by Hao Zhifeng, President of Foshan University, visited Hunan University of Technology and Business (HUTB) for investigation and exchanges. The exchange seminar was attended by HUTB’sPresident & Academician Chen Xiaohong, Vice President Peng Jinqing, and heads of the Party Committee Office, the PrincipalOffice, the Development Planning Division, the Graduate School, the Finance Division, the AssetsManagement Division, and the Scientific Research Management Division and presided over by Vice President Peng Jinqing.
The exchange seminar was held at Conference Room 206 in the Technology Building. Chen Xiaohong, HUTB President & CAE Academician expressed her welcome to Hao Zhifeng, Presidentof Foshan Universityand his delegation, and herappreciation for the rapid development of Foshan University in recent years. She mainly introduced HUTB’s strategic goal of “Three Improvements”and its implementation, educational orientation of “being an innovative, entrepreneurial, and application-oriented university”, educational philosophies of “new engineering courses + new business courses, “technology + business”, and “equal emphasis on ‘engineering’ and ‘business’”, as well as HUTB’s educational infrastructure and work on innovation, entrepreneurship, and creation, etc. She hoped the two universities will strengthen exchanges and interactions to promote common progress.
Hao Zhifeng, President of Foshan University expressed his thanks to HUTB for the warm reception. He explained the development history of Foshan University and analyzed the advantages and specific problems the university had in pursuing leap-forward development. He expressed that in recent years, HUTB has developed rapidly, with outstanding achievements in school running. He hoped that HUTB’s successful experience can drive Foshan University to achieve new leaping development. He noted that HUTB leaders are welcome to Foshan University to give on-site guidance.
The attendees deeply exchanged theirviews on university development planning. After the seminar, Hao Zhifeng and his delegation also visited HUTB’s laboratory in the Technology Building, Chufeng Academy in Economic Management Complex, the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creation Park, and other educational places (Reported by Zhang Gaoyang)
