[The 70th Anniversary of Founding] Opening Ceremony of the Second Campus Sport Culture Festival

In order to celebrate the 70thanniversary of founding of the People's Republic of China and the 70thschool anniversary, reveal the progressive spirituality of the teachers and students, create good campus sports exercise atmosphere, and construct the harmonious and healthy campus culture, on October 22, the Opening Ceremony of the Second Physical Culture Festival and the Second Campus Mini Marathon for Teachers and Students sponsored by the School Sports Commission and undertaken by Department of Sports Teaching and Research and School Labor Union with the "celebration of alma mater's birthday and showing the sports style" as theme stared at the Athletic Field. The Vice President Liu Guoquan made an opening speech. On that day, the brisk walking activity of the faculty was also held, and Tang Yayang, the Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, and the faculty of Brisk Walking Association took part in the activity.
The campus mini marathon for teachers and students was divided into the men's group, women's group and faulty group, and over 200 overseas students and faculties from 15 colleges and Graduate Schools took part in the competition. Although it rained, the weather couldn't stop athletes' passion in running. Everyone raced each other, contended for first place and successively reached the destination.
After the fierce competition, Jiang Zhiwei from School of Continuing Education, Wang Lingdan from Economic and Trade College and Jiang Xiong from College of Beijin were awarded the First Place of men's group, women's group and faulty group, respectively. The top eight in men's group, the top eight in women's group and the top three in faulty group were awarded the Certificate of Honor.
Such Physical Culture Festival of campus had multiple forms. In addition to the campus mini marathon, it also included five theme activities: balloon volleyball match, faculty fun sports meeting, student track meeting, badminton match and health planning competition.
