Professor Jiang Weijin and His Team Win 2017 Hunan Natural Science Award

Recently, Hunan Scientific and Technological Innovation Awarding Meeting was held in Changsha. Du Jiahao, the Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and Director of Standing Committee of Provincial People’s Congress were present in the meeting to award for prize winners. Xu Dazhe, the Vice Secretary of CPC Provincial Committee showed congratulations on the honored excellent units and individuals. Li Dingjun, the Vice President of Hunan University of Commerce also participated in the meeting.

Xu Dazhe said that, “we shall deeply carry out the innovation thought about science and technology of Xi Jinping, establish the new development concept firmly, put the innovation in the core position of development layout, speed up the innovative province construction (namely, Hunan), build the inland innovative, entrepreneurial, technological and talent plateau, strengthen the innovative dominant position of enterprise, increase the scientific research investment and cultivate the new economic growth points rapidly.

On the meeting, Chen Fei, the Vice Governor of Hunan read the commendation decision. Yin Yulong, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and researcher of Institute of Subtropical  Agriculture, Chinese  Academy of Science was honored with 2017 Hunan Province Outstanding Contribution Award for Science and Technology. 211 projects (teams) won Hunan Province Science and Technology Award, including 41 prizes for natural sciences, 14 technical innovation awards, 2 science and technology progress awards (innovative team) and 154 science and technology progress award projects.

Professors Jiang Weijin, Li Xiaolong and Xu Honglian, Associate Professor Xu Xuesong, Dr. Yang Shengjie won the Third Prize for Natural Sciences by right of their scientific research achievement, namely, Quantitative Modeling and Collaborative Control Method of Distributed Dynamic System.

The team awards are the important expression of HNUC to increase the scientific research investment and pay attention to scientific research achievements in recent years. Considering that these awards have enhanced our scientific research level, our “three promotions” and “double first-class” construction are accordingly promoted.
