Our University Was Listed in the ” National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Base of Higher Education”

In recent days, the Ministry of Education had issued the second batch of "National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Base of Higher Education", and our university was on the list. On 23 December The Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission under State Council held the "National Practice Teaching of Higher Education and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Promotion Conference" in Jilin University. The conference commended and rewarded the units which won the second batch of "National University Education Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bases through Practice" title. Our university was one of the two universities which won the honorary title in Hunan Province, and the vice president Liu Guoquan and the responsible persons of dean's Office participated in the conference and accepted the rewards.
In order to deeply carry out the important speech spirits of general secretary of Xi Jinping, comprehensively implement the Several Suggestions about Further Reinforcing the Practice Teaching of Higher Education which was issued by Ministry of Education and other seven departments, as well as actively promote the in-depth implementation of student education through practice in universities, the Ministry of Education issued notice to declare the second batch of "National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Base of Higher Education" in September. According to the different leading units, this declaration shall be respectively led by the local governments, industry enterprises and higher education universities. According to the "quantity strict and quality priority" principle, 52 units (41 universities and colleges, including Peking University, 4 local governments, including Liaoyuan Municipal Government and 7 enterprises, including China FAW Group) were included in the " National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Base of Higher Education " issued by the Ministry of Education after provincial education departments submission and recommendation, and assessed by the Ministry of Education.
It can be said that the successful selection of our university was the high recognition of our long-term work in promoting the student education through practice and innovation & entrepreneurship work assiduously and perseveringly. Our university will take the opportunity and power to further excavate and integrate the inside and outside resources, prefect the innovation & entrepreneurship education system, enhance the practice ability and innovation & entrepreneurship ability of students continuously, form the demonstration effect across the country and make the new bigger contributions for the "three strategies of improvements" targets.
