Our Experts from the Integrity Construction and Collaborative Innovation Center Were Invited to Participate in the 17th International Anti-corruption Conference

Wang Minggao, professor and chief expert of our Integrity Construction and Collaborative Innovation Center; Tan Zhijun, professor and deputy director; Zheng Junwu and Wang Xijia, the specifically-invited researchers, as well as Chen Xinming, the doctor and office director, were invited by the Organizing Committee of to participate in the 17th International Anti-corruption Conference which was held in the capital of Panama on December 1-4, 2016.This conference theme included "justice, fairness, safety and reliance times", therein, Juan Carlos Varela, the president of Panama, and the vice president, Isabel Saint Malo were present at the opening and closing ceremony and made speeches, besides, the participants also included: Akere Muna, the president of the Organizing Committee of International Anti-corruption Conference, Jose Ugaz, the president of Transparency International, Peter Eigen, the founder of Transparency International, Huguette Labelle, the deputy president of International Anti-corruption Conference, as well as other leaders and guests, in summary, 1,600 government officials, experts, scholars and organization representatives who came from 156 countries and regions participated in the conference.

Our representatives debriefed "Justice Times", "Fairness Times", "Safety Times", "Reliance Times" and other reports, participated in the "Citizen Group Supervises Judicial Power", "Enhance the Transparency of Civil Participation in the Public Affairs", "Use Transparency to Build Reliance", "Anti-corruption Struggle in the State-owned Enterprises" and other seminars, attended the Anti-corruption Film Festival, Investigative News Conference, Anti-corruption Awarding Ceremony and other activities, and signed Panama Declaration which was engaged in protecting justice, fairness, safety and reliance with all participating representatives.

During the conference, Wang Minggao met with Mr. Peter Eigen, the founder of Transparency International; Mrs. Huguette Labelle, the deputy president of International Anti-corruption Conference, as well as the responsible persons of TI-China, TI-Costa Rica, TI-Japan and the anti-corruption institutions in other countries and regions, and he introduced the main achievements and experience of China and Hunan Province in the Party's style & integrity construction and anti-corruption struggle, the construction and development conditions of integrity research organizations and integrity think tank which were represented by Hunan Integrity Construction and Collaborative Innovation Center and Hunan Huaxia Integrity Culture Research Institute. The participating representatives made the in-depth communication with regard to the anti-corruption theory and practice via scientific system, the anti-corruption regions, international experience, anti-corruption international cooperation promotion and other topics, meanwhile, they reached the extensive consensus on the integrity cooperation projects and integrity works publishment.

As the topside global conference which was sponsored by the anti-corruption non-governmental organization Transparency International to cope with the corruption problems, the biennial International Anti-corruption Conference had converged the heads of all countries, the experts and scholars of the government departments, research institutes and social groups for researching and fighting against the corruption together. The professor Wang Minggao, and the integrity research groups had participated in the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th International Anti-corruption Conference which were held in Korea, Guatemala, Greece and Thailand in 2003, 2006, 2008 and 2010 respectively. The attendance of Our Integrity Construction and Collaborative Innovation Center in the 17th International Anti-corruption Conference made much sense when Chinese integrity construction and anti-corruption struggle had made the world-famous achievements because China and Hunan Integrity Construction Research Institute will not only enhance their international influence, but also convey their sound and experience about the international anti-corruption and strengthen Chinese speaking right in the international anti-corruption field.
