Deputy President Wang Minggao Led Delegation to Visit Niagara University

Wang Minggao, the deputy president of our university, Yang Liangqi, director of Party Committee and Adminstration Office, and Zhang Yangbin, dean of School of International Education, visited Niagara University in USA and Canada. They inspected the main campus of Niagara University (Baffalo, New York of America) and the teaching base of Toronto, Canada. Professor Wang Minggao and his group were warmly received by Timothy O. Ireland and Dr. Kevin, both vice presidents of the university; Chandra Foote, dean of College of Education; Tenpao Lee, dean of Business School; Mark Wojnowski, director of Dean's Office; Mrs. Bernadette, the director of International Exchange Office; and Evan Pierce, assistant dean of Postgraduate College.

Presided over by Mrs. Bernadette, who came from the International Exchange Department of Niagara University, Professor Wang Minggao introduced the basic conditions of our university to the leaders and the responsible persons of Niagara University, heartily invited Niagara University president to visit our university in due time for carrying out the international communication cooperation projects on behalf of the president Chen Xiaohong, especially, he made the in-depth communication with the leaders of Niagara University with regard to cultivating the postgraduates in "Finance and Banking" specialty. They signed Cooperation and Exchange Memo between China HNUC and Niagara University. According to the memo, our university will actively strengthen the international exchange and cooperation with Niagara University, promote the exchange visiting, interconversion and mutual cultivation between teachers and students, as well as make efforts to accomplish the postgraduate cultivation project in the "Finance and Banking" specialty for laying the solid foundation for later signing Sino-America Cooperation Postgraduate Project Agreement by two presidents, and starting to build Sino-America cooperation postgraduate project.

After the conference, Wang Minggao and his group visited the campus and education & teaching devices of Niagara University, then, made the pleasant communication with Chinese overseas students. Established in 1856, the Niagara University had a long history. In 1883, the name of Niagara University started to be applied, until now, it had built seven colleges, such as, Arts and Science College, Art College, Business School, Graduate School, etc. Niagara University was good at business administration, education and other disciplines, especially, the Business College ranked top 20 in the North America. Located in the second largest city, namely, Baffalo of New York, the Niagara University had beautiful campus and perfect teaching & living facilities.
