Our University's Postgraduate Got Good Grades in the 2nd Colleges and Universities Postgraduates’ Legal Case Competition in Hunan

On November 13, the 2nd colleges and universities postgraduates’ legal case competition in Hunan lasting for one week ended at Central South University. 18 teams from 10 colleges and universities with law master graduate student degree program in Hunan applied and participated in this competition, and our university sent two representative teams to participate.
After the fierce competition, our university's law team I (Zhang Tianning, Li Min, Li Zhihua and Jiang Xiaopeng) won the "third prize" in the verbal debate competition and ranked sixth in "excellent legal instrument"; Law team II (Ye Tongxin, Ji Kefei, Yu Lei and Zheng Yuanyuan) won the "third prize" of "excellent legal instrument". And 2015 law master graduate student Zhang Tianning and 2016 law master graduate student Ye Tongxin won the title of "excellent debater".
The postgraduate legal case competition was the provincial discipline competition hosted by academic degrees committee of the People's Government of Hunan Province, which aimed at intensifying practical teaching of law major postgraduates of colleges and universities, elevating postgraduates' capacity of applying legal thinking and professional knowledge to analyze and solve actual legal issues. Graduate School and School of Law and Public Management paid high attention to preparation for the competition and arranged teachers Hu Jun, Tan Qingkang, Gong Zhijun, etc. having rich practical experience to provide tutorship and centralized training for team member participating in the competition.
Our university gained the right to grant legal profession master's degree in 2014 and had insisted on the training road of "applied senior legal talents" since first enrolling students in 2015, laid emphasis on teaching of theoretical knowledge as well as paid high attention to training law master graduate students' practical ability at the same time. The achievement gained in this competition was an excellent performance of our university innovative legal talent training and was the result of organic combining the legal theory with legal practice.
