The 19th Track and Field Sports Meeting Was Solemnly Held at Our University

From November 4 to 6, our university held the 19th track and field sports meeting. All university leaders attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by the vice-president Liu Guoquan.

At the opening ceremony, the faculty team led by the university leaders entered first, the follower was the schoolfellow phalanx from all parts of the country, and the phalanxes of the 14 affiliated colleges entered successively, they showed their school characteristics by the phalanx performance with the distinctive features respectively. The cheerleaders on the stand also struggled to swing the flags in their hands, and the spot atmosphere was heated.

After all stood for singing the national song and the school song, the president Chen Xiaohong made an opening speech. She showed her sincere appreciation to all teachers and students for their hard work and her warm congratulations for the successful opening of the sports meeting. Meanwhile, she also expressed her sincere appreciation and blessings to the schoolfellow of HNUC, who rushed over here from place to place. She said she was very happy to meet the best teachers and students at the best development period of the university, and hoped that all teachers and students could continue to carry forward the spirit of perseverance and united strength for their style and level in the competition and make it higher, further, faster and stronger. In the end, she congratulated beforehand that the 19th sports meeting would be crowned with success.

The representatives of sportsmen and referees took an oath respectively. The party secretary Tang Yayang announced the opening of the sports meeting. The fun sports of the faculty officially kicked off the competitions of this sports meeting. The faculties were united for the cooperation, struggled for the games of the armored vehicles, dragon world, fun path finding, and the spot atmosphere was lively.

There are 839 sportsmen in total who participated this sports meeting, they would start the fierce competition on the multiple items like the high jump, long jump, back throw of the medicine ball and the relay race, etc.

On the afternoon of November 6, after the completion of all competition items, the university sports meeting was successfully ended, and the closing ceremony was solemnly held in the ground track field. The university leaders Tang Yayang, Peng Jinqing, Zeng Fuqiu, Liu Guoquan, Nie Guoqing, Yang Liangqi - member of the university party committee and director of Office of Party and Government Affairs, excellent schoolfellows Hu Zijing, Zhou Zhaoda, Lu Hanbing and the responsible persons of the respective affiliated colleges and the alumni working office attended it.

At the closing ceremony, the chief referee announced the total score of team, the rank and the list of the sportsmanship award for the competitions of this sports meeting. And Beijing College, School of Computer Science & Information Technology and School of Accounting won the first, second and third award for teams. School of Law and Public Management, School of Design Art and College of Mathematics and Statistics won the sportsmanship award. On the sports meeting, two record were broken on the university sports meeting.

The university leaders and the excellent schoolfellow gave the awards to the winning team respectively.

The vice-president Liu Guoquan made a closing speech. He represented the organizing committee of the meeting to show their sincere appreciation for the hard work of all the working staff and the great support of all teachers and students and their highest respect to all the sportsmen who courageously struggled for the competition. He pointed that this sports meeting fully showed the spirituality of all teachers and students and the higher level of the sports work of our university, and hoped that all teachers and students of our university could continuously improve their physical quality and combine the sportsmanship into their future study and work for "three improvements" of strong physical quality and for the magnificent writing of their dream.
